This Ticket is Signed by Joe Calzaghe, I had him sign it after his contest against Carlos Christie on 15th Nov 1997 at Whitchurch Sports Centre Bristol which he won in rd 2 with a TKO.

Scottish Amateur Boxing Association Rules 1959

I recently picked up this 1959 copy of the Scottish Amateur Boxing Association rule book.

This copy is signed by then secretary of the association, John Henderson.

The first contest of the evening was a Super-Featherweight  bout over four twos between Jamie Speight and Dan Carr, with Speight taking 40-37 points verdict.

The second contest was a light-welterweight match over six twos between Dan Stuart and Danny Dontchev, with Stuart taking a 59-56 points victory.

Next up was a Heavyweight contest fought over four threes between Noureddine Meddoune and Florians Strupits with Noureddine winning in one minute and fourteen seconds of the first round as Strupits was unable to continue.

The evening's fourth contest was a featherweight bout over six twos between Liam Richards and Ben Morrish, with Richards taking a 58-57 points victory.

Next up was a middleweight contest over four threes between Kelvin Young and Dean Walker. With the win going to Young 40-37.

The sixth contest was a Super-Middleweight match over six twos between Andrew McCaffrey and Robert Studzinski, with McCaffrey taking a 60-56 points victory.

The evening penultimate match was an international middleweight contest over six threes between Trowbridge based Nick Blackwell and Andrejs Loginovs of Riga in Latvia. The win went to Blackwell in one minute forty six seconds of round four, as Loginovs was unable to continue.

The final contest of the evening was another internation and saw super-flyweight Lee Haskins matched against Fikret Remziev over six threes. Haskins won the fight in one minute thirty one seconds of round four as the referee stopped the contest.
