Delroy Spencer completes 100 professional fights

To celebrate his 100th professional fight, boxer Delroy Spencer was presented with a certificate by BBBC area representative Mr Ken Honniball.

First of all, I'd like to introduce someone who works behind the scenes. This is Martin Williams, an inspector with the British Board of Boxing Control.


First up was a four twos lightweight contest between Dan Carr and Craig Dyer, with Carr taking a 40-37 points victory.


The second fight of the evening was a four twos super bantamweight contest between Nathan Reeve and Delroy Spencer and Reeve took the win with 40 points to Spencer's 36.


Next up was a six twos welterweight bout between Aaron Fox and Jason Nesbitt, with Nesbitt taking a 59 to 57 points victory.


The Fourth contest of the evening was a four twos lightweight contest between Liam Richards and Abdul Rashid, seeing a 40-36 points victory.


The evening’s fifth contest was a four threes super middleweight contest between Calvin Young and Martin Robins, with Young taking a 39-38 points victory.

The last contest of the night saw twenty year old Nick Blackwell become the youngest ever holder of an English Title, with a ten round points victory over Harry Matthews. The decision was unanimous, with the judges scoring  100-89, 99-91, and 98-91.

First of all, I'd like to introduce you to somebody who works behind the scenes. This is Timekeeper, Jon Lee.

The first bout of the evening was a four threes between Jamie Speight and Ibrar Riyaz with Speight taking a 39 - 38 points victory.

The second contest was between Melksham's Liam Richards, and Syd Razak of Birmingham over six twos, with Richards taking the victory 59 -56.
Next up was a match between Kelvin Young and Plymouth's Jon Harrison over six twos, with Young taking a 59 - 57 points win.

The fourth bout of the night was a six threes between Nick Blackwell and Luke Osman, with Blackwell winning a 59 - 55 points victory.

The final fight of the night was a six twos bout between Andrew McCaffrey and Lee Nicholson which saw McCaffrey take a 59 - 56 points victory.

The first bout of the evening was between Jon Fernandes and Plamen Kostadinov with Fernandes taking a 40-35 victory.

Next up was Portsmouth's Mark Combes stopping Scunthorpe's Davey Jones at 1 minute 18 seconds of round three in a scheduled six twos.

The third contest of the evening was a four threes between Darryl Still and Bheke Moyo with Still taking a 40-36 virdict.

The fourth fight featured Floyd Moore and Johnny Greaves over four threes with  a 39-38 point victory giving Greaves only his third win out of fifty seven fights.

Next up were Kid Lewis and Iain Eldrige over four threes with Lewis taking a 40-36 verdict.

The evening's sixth contest was between Mark Atkins and Sabie Montieth. Atkins took the win with a 40-36 verdict from referee Mark Green.

Next up was four threes between Jonathan Fry and Ryan McNichol which saw referee Jeff Hinds score a 38-38 draw.

The final fight of the evening was four threes between Matty Tew from Southampton, and Pvel Senkovs with Tew winning in the second round as the result of a cut above Senkovs' eye.
