Lee Haskins kindly signed my copy of the Evening Post showing him against Terry Broadbent in the quarter-final of prizefighter. Lee went on to win the competition, facing Don Broadhurst in the final.

The first fight of the evening was a super-middleweight contest between Steve Marvin Mullins and Bobby Wood, fought over four threes, with Mullins taking a 40-36 points victory.
The second contest of the evening saw light-middleweights Lee Churcher and Chris Brophy with Churcher taking the win 58 points to 57.
Next up was a light-welterweight match between Danny Carter and Billy Smith, this being Smith's 116th professional fight and Carter's Debut. Carter took a 58-55 points win over the veteran.
The fourth bout was a welterweight contest between Chris Higgs and Donny Dontchev with Higgs taking 60-55 points victory.
Next up was a middleweight contest over six threes between Nick Blackwell and Mihai Macovei, with Blackwell victorious after ref Clark Joslyn stopped the fight in round five.
The evening's final contest saw Kelvin Young take on Tony Randal for the International Masters Middleweight Championship over ten three minute rounds. Young took the title with a 97 - 95 points victory.
