First of all, I'd like to introduce someone who works behind the scenes. This is Martin Williams, an inspector with the British Board of Boxing Control.
First up was a four twos lightweight contest between Dan Carr and Craig Dyer, with Carr taking a 40-37 points victory.
Next up was a six twos welterweight bout between Aaron Fox and Jason Nesbitt, with Nesbitt taking a 59 to 57 points victory.
The Fourth contest of the evening was a four twos lightweight contest between Liam Richards and Abdul Rashid, seeing a 40-36 points victory.
The evening’s fifth contest was a four threes super middleweight contest between Calvin Young and Martin Robins, with Young taking a 39-38 points victory.
The last contest of the night saw twenty year old Nick Blackwell become the youngest ever holder of an English Title, with a ten round points victory over Harry Matthews. The decision was unanimous, with the judges scoring 100-89, 99-91, and 98-91.
As usual here are some photos from the evening including some behind-the-scenes snaps which I hope you will enjoy.
